Bradford City v Gillingham Preview

Gillingham head to Bradford this weekend looking to find a win to keep them in touch with the play-off places.

Andy Hessenthaler seems set to make changes to his starting eleven after Tuesday night’s defeat to Crawley Town with new signing Rowan Vine one of those in contention for a place in the side.

The Gills boss has spoken of his desire to freshen things up with the likes of Lewis Montrose back available after suspension, whilst skipper Andy Frampton is also likely to make his way back into the side.

With Bradford scrapping for their lives at the bottom of League Two, they will be determined to put on a show in front of their own fans.

As for Gillingham, they could pull back within a point of Oxford United in the last play-off place if results go their way, but could find themselves as much as seven points adrift if things go against them.

Needless to say, Saturday’s game could be vital for Hessenthaler’s side with just nine games left to play this season.

Hessenthaler has injury doubts over Jo Kuffour, Simon King and Danny Kedwell, but they may all be utilised in what can almost be described as a must win game.

Therefore, The Gills could line up like this:

Gazzaniga, Fish, Essam, Frampton, Martin, Whelpdale, J Payne, Jackman, Obita, Kedwell, Kuffour.

Subs: Hawkes, King, Montrose, O Lee, Vine.
